Placements24 is seeking a visionary Director of Supply Chain Operations to lead a global, fully remote network. This executive role directs procurement, logistics, inventory, and demand planning, ensuring cost efficiency and customer satisfaction across markets.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in SCM with senior leadership experience, excels in analytics, and can drive innovation while managing international operations and remote teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing effective global supply chain strategies.
• Deep understanding of logistics, procurement, inventory management, and demand planning.
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with proficiency in supply chain software and tools.
• Experience with international trade, customs, and compliance.
• Ability to manage complex, global operations and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated success in leading remote teams and fostering collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the global supply chain strategy to support business objectives.
• Oversee all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, logistics, warehousing, and transportation.
• Manage inventory levels and optimize stock turnover to minimize carrying costs.
• Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers and logistics partners.
• Implement advanced analytics and technology solutions to improve supply chain visibility and efficiency.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives throughout the supply chain without compromising quality or service.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant international trade regulations and customs requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global supply chain team.
• Manage supply chain risk and develop contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams to align supply chain activities with market demands.
