Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Intellectual Property (IP) Attorney to join a fully remote legal team. This role focuses on patent prosecution, trademark registration, IP litigation support, and IP strategy advisory for a global client base.

The ideal candidate has at least 8 years of IP experience, strong drafting and prosecution capabilities, and proficiency with international filing systems. Remote-first culture and ongoing professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• A law degree (LLB or JD) and admission to practice law in a recognized jurisdiction.
• A minimum of 8 years of specialized experience in Intellectual Property law.
• Proven experience in patent drafting, prosecution, and IP litigation support.
• In-depth knowledge of patent law, trademark law, copyright law, and trade secrets.
• Experience with international IP filing systems (PCT, Madrid Protocol, etc.).
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex IP concepts clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse caseload and work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prosecute patent applications before national and international patent offices.
• Handle trademark registration and enforcement matters globally.
• Advise clients on IP portfolio management, protection strategies, and monetization.
• Conduct IP due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and licensing agreements.
• Support IP litigation teams by providing technical and legal expertise.
• Draft and negotiate IP-related agreements, including licensing, joint development, and R&D agreements.
• Provide strategic advice on navigating complex IP landscapes and avoiding infringement.
• Stay abreast of IP laws, regulations, and trends globally.
• Manage client relationships and act as a trusted IP advisor.
• Contribute to the firm's IP thought leadership and business development efforts.
