Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Drilling Operations Manager for a fully remote role in the oil and gas sector. You will lead international drilling campaigns, ensuring safety, efficiency, and cost control from a remote location.

Responsibilities include strategic planning, budget oversight, contractor management, and remote troubleshooting with field teams. Strong leadership and global communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in drilling engineering and operations management within the upstream oil and gas industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex drilling projects from conception to completion.
• In-depth knowledge of drilling technologies, equipment, and best practices.
• Strong understanding of HSE regulations and their application in drilling operations.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate remote teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in drilling software and data analysis tools.
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively in a remote setting.
• Must be eligible to work remotely from an approved location.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic drilling plans and operational budgets.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of all drilling operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Manage drilling contractors, service providers, and equipment vendors to ensure optimal performance and cost control.
• Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support for drilling challenges, remotely guiding field teams.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for drilling operations.
• Monitor KPIs for drilling efficiency, safety, and environmental performance.
• Ensure efficient resource allocation and logistics management for all drilling activities.
• Foster a strong safety culture and promote best practices in drilling operations.
• Regularly report on operational status, challenges, and achievements to senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within drilling operations.
