Placements24 is seeking an Operations Director to lead our global operational strategy in a fully remote capacity. This executive role requires an MBA and 15+ years in operations management across manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics, including remote team leadership.

You will drive strategic planning, cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring top-tier quality and regulatory compliance across sites worldwide, including near Mahikeng, North West, ZA.

Qualifications

• MBA or Master’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive operations management experience with senior leadership exposure.
• Proven track record in manufacturing, supply chain and logistics at scale.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Exceptional leadership, change management and remote-team capabilities.
• Strong financial acumen and budget management experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in technology/manufacturing sectors is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company’s long-term vision and growth objectives.
• Oversee manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and quality control globally.
• Lead and develop a high-performing global operations team across regions.
• Drive continuous improvement using lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for all operational functions and ensure targets are met.
• Manage budgets with disciplined resource allocation and financial control.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards worldwide.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the team.
• Manage strategic relationships with key suppliers and partners.
• Oversee adoption of new technologies and systems to enhance operations.
