Job summary

HR Talent Partner SA is assisting with a Project Manager (Engineering) vacancy in Somerset West. The role requires leading engineering projects within manufacturing, coordinating cross-functional teams, and interfacing with customers globally.

A strong foundation in project management and familiarity with MS Project are essential. Salary is around 60,000 ZAR per month on a full-time permanent basis, with a focus on cost control, milestones, and smooth handovers between development and production

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; other engineering degrees welcomed.
Project management experience in manufacturing essential.
Proficient in MS Project and project management tools.
SAP experience advantageous; knowledge of global interfaces a plus.
Experience coordinating with diverse cultures globally.

Responsibilities

Manage contractual relationships with customers and resolve claims.
Coordinate design iterations and changes during development and serial production.
Maintain lessons learned processes.
Monitor project progress and report to steering committee.
Track costs against budgets and implement changes to reduce costs.
Identify, analyze, and monitor project risks and provide mitigations.
Provide regular feedback on customer projects.
Create and manage overall project plans with milestones and responsibilities.
Review customer purchase orders against latest offer.
Ensure timely implementation of solutions on projects.
Facilitate handover between Development/Industrialization and Serial production.
