About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Project Manager with a strong engineering background to lead significant projects in Sandton . This role demands exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and execution capabilities to deliver complex engineering initiatives on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from conception and planning through to execution and closure, managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in managing large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects within the Gauteng region, driving success through meticulous planning and effective resource management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of engineering projects, including scope definition, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Manage project teams, including engineers, contractors, and suppliers, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.
• Communicate project status, progress, and critical issues effectively to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Civil, Electrical) or a related field; PMP certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in project management, with a significant portion focused on engineering projects in industrial or infrastructure sectors.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, multi-million Rand projects on time and within budget.
