Job summary

Pollock and Associates in Cape Town seeks a meticulous Business Analyst to translate distributor purchase data, market trends and performance metrics into strategic insights. Reporting to the CEO, this is an office-based, full-time position with significant visibility and global impact on business performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics or related field.
3 to 5 years' experience in business analysis, data analysis or a commercial finance role.
Experience in manufacturing, beauty or global distributor-model is essential.
Advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data modelling).
Exposure to SYSPRO, SQL, BI tools, Power BI or ERP systems beneficial.
Proven ability to work with large datasets and translate data into actionable insight.

Responsibilities

Monitor and report on distributor purchases against annual targets, providing data-driven insights to the CEO.
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributor partners across international markets.
Analyse market trends, competitor activity and distributor feedback to support commercial planning.
Partner with distributors to validate data accuracy across financial and reporting systems.
Prepare board-level performance dashboards highlighting risks, opportunities and growth trends.
Collaborate with internal teams to align distributor strategy with broader business objectives.
