Placements24 is seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our Sandton team. You will assess ground conditions, design foundations for diverse construction projects, and interpret complex site data to provide expert recommendations ensuring stability and longevity of structures.

Responsibilities include carrying out boreholes, pit work, and in-situ tests, analyzing soil/rock data, and delivering detailed reports.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering with Geotechnical specialization.
• Strong knowledge of soil and rock mechanics and foundation engineering.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site investigations (boreholes, pits, in-situ tests).
• Analyze soil/rock data to determine ground conditions.
• Design shallow and deep foundations (rafts, piles, caissons).
• Assess slope stability and earth retention systems.
• Prepare geotechnical reports for clients and regulators.
• Collaborate with structural engineers and construction teams.
