Qualifications

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Geophysics, Geology, or a related geoscience discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in geophysical exploration.
• Proficiency with Petrel, Kingdom, and IHS Markit.
• Strong understanding of seismic data acquisition, processing, and interpretation.
• Experience in structural geology and basin analysis.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Geophysicist to join their exploration team, contributing to the identification and evaluation of new hydrocarbon prospects. This role, based in Richards Bay , involves the analysis and interpretation of seismic and other geophysical data to map subsurface structures and identify potential resource targets within the Oil & Gas industry. You will play a key role in the exploration lifecycle, from data acquisition planning to prospect generation and risking. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, utilizing advanced interpretation software and techniques to provide critical insights for strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities
