The role involves integrating seismic, magnetic, gravity, and electromagnetic data with geological information, and communicating findings to management and technical teams while working remotely from Stellenbosch and beyond.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Geophysics, Applied Geophysics, or a related Earth Science discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in mineral exploration geophysics.
• Strong proficiency in processing and interpreting seismic, magnetic, gravity, and electromagnetic data.
• Experience with geophysical modeling software and data integration workflows.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong scientific foundation.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee the execution of geophysical surveys, both in-house and contractor-managed.
• Process and interpret geophysical data using industry-standard software (e.g., Geosoft, Oasis Montaj).
• Integrate geophysical interpretations with geological, geochemical, and drilling data to generate exploration targets.
• Conduct detailed modeling of subsurface structures and potential mineral deposits.

You will leverage a variety of geophysical techniques, including seismic, magnetic, gravity, and electrical methods, to support exploration and resource definition efforts. This is a fully remote position, requiring strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating digitally with geologists and other team members. You will play a vital role in guiding exploration strategies from your home office, contributing to discoveries in the Western Cape and beyond.
