Placements24 seeks a dedicated Geologist to join our client’s on-site team in Tembisa, Gauteng. The role supports exploration and production activities in the Oil & Gas sector, conducting geological surveys, mapping, and data interpretation to identify hydrocarbon prospects.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Geology or Earth Sciences, at least 5 years of Oil & Gas geology experience, and proficiency in ArcGIS and Petrel.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Geologist to join their operational team based in Tembisa, Gauteng . This role is pivotal in supporting exploration and production activities within the regional Oil & Gas sector. You will be responsible for conducting geological surveys, analyzing subsurface data, and contributing to the identification and assessment of potential hydrocarbon reserves. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of regional geology and have hands‑on experience with geological mapping and data interpretation tools. This is a field-intensive position, requiring a commitment to on‑site presence and collaboration with operational staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct geological field mapping and subsurface data acquisition.
