Job summary

Blacksmith Agency LLC is seeking a Generative AI Engineer to own and ship the internal automation roadmap. This builder role focuses on production systems atop AI models; you won't train models, but you will integrate and deploy solutions.

You will collaborate with engineering and delivery leadership to turn documented automation workstreams into shipped workflows, with hands-on experience in LangChain/LangGraph, OpenAI/Anthropic APIs and REST integrations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US-based team.

Responsibilities

• Build agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.
• Integrate with OpenAI and Anthropic APIs for tool use and function calling.
• Develop internal tools that reduce manual hours across design and development processes.
• Create automation pipelines connecting WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and internal CMS.
• Handle MCP server integrations as part of the AI stack.

Blacksmith Agency is building an AI automation layer into every part of how we work. As Generative AI Engineer at Blacksmith, you own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This is a builder role, not a research role. You will not be training models, you will be building production systems on top of them.

You work directly with engineering and delivery leadership to take a documented roadmap of automation workflows and turn them into shipped, working systems. This role is for someone who has already built things with LLMs and can show it.

What You Will Build

• Agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.
• Integrations with Anthropic and OpenAI APIs including tool use and function calling.
• Internal tools that reduce manual hours across our design and development production process.
