Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the General Merchandise Department.
• Monitor staff attendance, punctuality and productivity; allocate tasks.
• Manage stock levels, replenishment, counts and discrepancies.
• Ensure merchandising, pricing and promotional displays are correct.
• Supervise, train and develop departmental staff; manage performance.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service and resolve queries.
• Prepare departmental reports; monitor sales and losses.
• Ensure health, safety and loss prevention procedures.
