Job description

Key Strategic Responsibilities

• Oversee the development & implementation of the Co‑operative’s strategy in consultation with the Board;
• Develop & implement an effective & efficient system of internal controls, information management and other necessary business management systems;
• Implement an effective system of financial, risk, procurement and human resources management;
• Ensure the Co‑operative adheres to high standards of corporate citizenship and social responsibility in its business operations;
• Account to the Board monthly by submitting reports;
• Maintain effective communication between management, the board, co‑operative members and other key stakeholders;
• Apply innovative and creative measures to boost business growth and keep pace with funeral industry developments;
• Ensure the Co‑operative and all employees comply fully with all applicable laws, the co‑operative constitution, standards and policies; and
• Implement Board decisions and directives as and when required.

• Exceptional leadership capabilities and the ability to motivate and develop employees.
• Unendorsed Driving License and must be prepared to travel;
• Computer literate.
