Job summary

The Capital Hotels, Apartments & Resorts is seeking a Gardener to maintain outdoor and interior hotel areas. The role covers security, pools, grounds, and hotel rooms, with hands-on DIY, basic decorating, and a proactive approach to tasks.

You will work as part of a team or independently, communicate effectively with staff and guests, presentable and detail-oriented, with 1-2 years gardening experience and Matric. Relocation costs are the applicant's responsibility if residing outside the city.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and resolve maintenance issues as they arise during a shift.
• Cover areas including Security, Pools, Grounds, and Hotel Rooms.
• Perform general DIY and maintenance tasks and basic decorating.

Description:

The Gardner ensures a smooth and consistent resolution to maintenance issues logged during a shift and via verbal instructions. Areas of responsibility include: Security, Pools, Grounds, Hotel Rooms and any other area of the Hotel. The role will include general DIY and maintenance including basic decorating.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric
• 1 - 2 Year previous Gardening experience
• Additional qualifications within the field advantageous (Salary Dependent)
• Hands on Problem Solving approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently
• Effective communication with members of staff as well as Guests of the Hotel
