Sabenza IT & Recruitment in Johannesburg seeks a Data Analyst to shape the FX data backbone, designing target-state data models and a clear view of how data is structured, owned and moved across the FX value chain.

You will work with senior business and technology stakeholders in an Agile environment to catalogue the FX domain, map lineage and produce analysis packs for architecture, integration and migration teams.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/IS/DM/Engineering/Mathematics or a related discipline.
• 8 years of professional experience in data roles.
• 5 years in financial services.
• 5 years in business/feature analysis.
• 5 years in data analysis.
• Strong requirements elicitation and stakeholder management.
• Hands-on data analysis, mapping, modelling, governance and lineage tasks.
• Solid SQL and data profiling; knowledge of data warehousing and metadata management.
• Familiarity with reporting, APIs, system integration; Jira and Agile tooling.

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain the FX domain inventory and relationships across the lifecycle.
• Prepare logical data-model artefacts, entity definitions and modelling assumptions.
• Own the business data dictionary: definitions, formats, rules, producers, consumers and sources.
• Map current-state data lineage and surface gaps and hand-offs.
• Investigate data quality issues and document root causes with recommendations.
• Analyse cross-system identifiers to support reference requirements.
• Produce data-focused analysis packs for architecture, integration, migration and vendor discussions.
