Job summary

Datafin It Recruitment is seeking an experienced New Business Development Representative for a major petroleum client in the Western Cape. The role is primarily field-based, requiring extensive travel to service stations and strong market engagement to grow Retail, Commercial and Wholesale footprints.

You will identify opportunities, build a robust pipeline, develop relationships with station owners and operators, and coordinate site development and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within the fuel or petroleum industry is essential.
• Proven Business Development experience within the petroleum or fuel industry is essential.
• Strong understanding of the fuel retail and service station environment.
• Experience dealing with service station owners, operators or wholesalers would be advantageous.
• Existing relationships and networks within the fuel industry would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new Retail, Commercial and Wholesale fuel customers across the Western Cape.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers and opportunities.
• Regularly visit service stations, potential customers and industry stakeholders across the region.
• Develop relationships with service station owners, operators, landlords and commercial customers.
• Negotiate and close new business opportunities in line with targets.
• Coordinate site development, branding, and regulatory requirements.
• Work with internal departments to ensure project delivery and budgets.
