Job summary

Mr D, a division of takealot.com, is seeking highly talented Web Frontend Engineers to join our team. You will work on multiple production apps using modern Angular and SvelteKit, writing fast, scalable code and collaborating with PMs, UX, and QA teams to deliver features.

This role emphasizes robust testing, code reviews, and CI/CD deployments. You will leverage AI tools to speed up development and contribute to shaping AI-assisted workflows within the Takealot group.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3-4 years of focused, continuous experience in JavaScript or similar languages.
• Strong grasp of modern JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript for well-typed code.
• Backend exposure with Node.js and API integration understanding.

Responsibilities

• Join our frontend team to maintain and develop multiple production apps using modern Angular and SvelteKit.
• Write performant, scalable code and contribute to automated tests.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain high quality standards and collaborate with PMs, UX, and QA.
• Debug complex frontend/backend issues and deploy via CI/CD pipeline (QA → Pre-Prod → Production).
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate development and improve workflows.
• Provide accurate estimates and deliver on commitments.
