Job summary

Techrepo.co.za is seeking a senior frontend engineer to own a full UI surface, building polished interfaces rapidly from intent. You will emphasize trustworthy demos and production-grade visuals, maintaining a shared design system and UI primitives for fast, consistent delivery.

You will work with React, AI tooling, and modern tech like Azure, Snowflake, and DBT to connect frontend with backend capabilities and data pipelines in a fintech/regulatory context.

Qualifications

• Senior frontend engineer with ability to own a full UI surface.
• Experience delivering polished, production-grade demos.
• Familiarity with fintech or regulated industries is a plus.
• Proficient with modern component frameworks, ideally React.
• Comfortable working with AI-assisted development tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own the full frontend surface from intent to production.
• Rapidly build and iterate interfaces surface backend capabilities.
• Produce production-credible demos with honesty and polish.
• Maintain a shared design system and UI primitives.
• Implement high-quality interactions: loading states and errors.
• Integrate with backend APIs and AI tooling in workflow.
• Contribute to decisions on demo readiness for stakeholders.
• Demonstrate senior frontend judgment and independence.
