Job summary

AGCO Corporation in Johannesburg, South Africa is seeking a Product Support and Logistics Specialist to coordinate shipping, equipment readiness and logistics administration at the Kestel Logistics Facility in Bethlehem / Kestel. This onsite permanent role supports dealer and distributor handovers and ensures accurate documentation and safe warehousing.

The candidate will manage inspections, stock movements, training gear preparation, and liaison with internal teams and providers to meet OEM

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in supply chain, logistics, administration or related discipline.
• 2–5 years experience in logistics, supply chain, or dealer support operations.
• Proficient with MS Office and documentation controls.
• Understanding agricultural equipment terminology is advantageous.
• Valid driver's license, own transport and willingness to travel.
• Role is based at the Kestel Logistics Facility and requires coordination across office, warehouse and storage environments.
• Flexibility to support training days, shows and dispatch priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipping shortages, damage, PDI progress and equipment preparation to meet OEM standards.
• Review arrivals, track readiness actions and flag missing or damaged items.
• Prepare and fit machines with accessories and replacement parts to ensure readiness.
• Support dealer and distributor handovers with documentation and release requirements.
• Maintain records and provide status updates and escalation notes for timely decisions.
• Coordinate equipment prep for training, show days and demonstrations.
• Liaise with teams and providers to confirm equipment availability and shipping docs.
• Inspect incoming equipment condition and documentation before dispatch.

We are seeking a Product Support and Logistics Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will primarily be based at the Kestel Logistics Facility in Bethlehem / Kestel. This role coordinates product readiness, logistics administration, equipment documentation and stakeholder support for units at the Kestel Logistics Facility.

Your Impact

• Coordinate shipping shortages, transport damage, PDI progress, accessories and equipment preparation to meet OEM standards.
• Review arrival inspections and documentation, track readiness actions and elevate missing, damaged or non-compliant items.
• Prepare and fit machines with accessories, missing parts and or replace damaged parts to ensure machine readiness.
• Strip machines of parts or accessories to support part supply shortages as approved and deemed necessary.
• Support dealer and distributor handovers by confirming, documentation, cleaning of equipment, readiness checks and release requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and provide clear status updates and escalation notes to support timely decisions.
• Coordinate equipment preparation for training, show days, field days and demonstrations.
• Liaise with relevant teams and providers to confirm equipment availability, site readiness and shipping documentation.
• Track the return, condition and storage of demo or training units and document follow-up actions.
• Inspect and document incoming equipment condition, including damage, missing items, specification, cleanliness and overall condition.
• Support stock-takes, reconciliations, equipment movement, organized storage, housekeeping and safe warehousing.
• Coordinate dealer and distributor shipment readiness in line with SOPs, documentation and release requirements.
• Maintain supporting records and verify equipment, attachments, keys, manuals, loose parts and documents before dispatch.
• Apply site health and safety procedures around machinery, tools, transport equipment and warehouse operations.
• Promote accurate reporting of hazards, incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions, and communicate follow-up actions.
• Collaborate with internal teams, logistics providers and dealer or distributor contacts to support changing priorities.

Your Experience and Qualifications

• Relevant diploma, degree or equivalent work experience in supply chain, logistics, administration, agricultural mechanization, product support or related discipline.
• 2 - 5 years of working knowledge and experience in own discipline, with exposure to equipment assembly and readiness, logistics coordination, stock control, documentation management or dealer support operations.
• Strong computer literacy, including MS Office, electronic checklists, stock records, reporting tools, photographs and document control.
• Understanding agricultural equipment or machinery terminology would be advantageous, but the role is primarily focused on professional coordination, analysis, documentation and process support.
• Valid driver's license, own transport and willingness to travel when operationally required.
• Role is based at the Kestel Logistics Facility and requires regular coordination across office, warehouse and equipment storage environments.
• May require site walks, equipment inspections, documentation checks, interaction with logistics providers and exposure to warehouse or outdoor conditions.
• Flexibility required to support training days, show days, demonstration events and urgent dealer or distributor dispatch priorities.
