Placements24 is seeking friendly Retail Cashiers & Customer Service Representatives to join our Soweto team. This on-site role involves processing transactions, handling inquiries, and delivering excellent customer service at the checkout.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, basic math ability, and attentiveness. Flexible part-time hours, including weekends, are available in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
• Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash accurately.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process customer purchases using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions efficiently and securely.
• Greet customers warmly and provide a friendly and helpful checkout experience.
• Answer customer inquiries regarding products, prices, and promotions.
• Assist with customer returns and exchanges, following company policy.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Monitor stock levels at the till and replenish as needed.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling and security.
• Promote store loyalty programs and special offers to customers.
• Assist with other store duties as needed, such as stocking shelves or tidying displays.
