Kontak is seeking a Clearing & Forwarding Agent in Bedfordview/Johannesburg to coordinate sea, air and road freight from booking through final delivery. You will prepare import/export documents, check invoices and liaise with SARS for clearances.

You’ll manage multiple shipments, keep clients updated and resolve issues to avoid delays. The role requires 1+ year of clearing and forwarding experience, proficiency with MS Office and shipment systems, and strong organisational and communication

Qualificações

• Matric/Grade 12 required.
• Qualification in Clearing & Forwarding, Logistics or Customs is advantageous.
• Experience in clearing and freight forwarding environment.
• Knowledge of sea, air and road freight and shipment processes.
• Familiarity with customs documentation and clearance procedures.
• Understanding of tariff classification, duties, VAT and costs.
• Experience coordinating with shipping lines, transporters and overseas agents.
• Proficiency with MS Office and shipment systems.
• Strong organizational skills and clear client communication.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and meet deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate sea, air and road freight shipments from booking to delivery.
• Prepare and process import/export and customs documentation.
• Check invoices, packing lists, bills of entry and supporting documents for accuracy.
• Liaise with SARS Customs and relevant authorities regarding clearances.
• Follow up on customs stops, outstanding documents and clearance delays.
• Obtain and compare freight, clearing and transport quotations.
• Arrange cargo collections, transport and final deliveries.
• Liaise with shipping lines, airlines, overseas agents and depots.
• Track shipment progress, arrival dates and delivery schedules.
• Keep clients informed of shipment status and potential delays.
• Resolve documentation discrepancies, transport problems and delivery issues.
• Monitor freight costs and filing systems.
