Outsourced CFO Pty in South Africa is seeking qualified freelance bookkeepers to support clients on a project or part-time basis. You will maintain accurate records, handle daily bookkeeping tasks, and assist with monthly reports for local and international clients across the USA, UK and Europe.

The role suits self-employed professionals who can operate remotely with own laptop and a stable connection. IFRS/US GAAP/UK GAAP experience and proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero and other software

Qualifications

• 3+ years bookkeeping or accounting support experience.
• Experience supporting clients in international markets (USA, UK, EU).
• Solid understanding of international bookkeeping/accounting requirements.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage or NetSuite.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks incl. data entry, bank reconciliations, payables/receivables.
• Maintain and update general ledger and financial records.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports.
• Support client accountants and finance managers with documentation and reporting.
• Ensure IFRS/US GAAP/UK GAAP compliance as applicable.
• Communicate with international clients and respond to queries.

Work from anywhere in South Africa We are building a network of qualified freelance Bookkeepers to support our clients on a project or part-time basis. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting local and/or international clients with day-to-day bookkeeping requirements. This is ideal for professionals who are self-employed or operate their own bookkeeping business and are comfortable working with local clients as well as clients across the USA, UK, and Europe .

Key Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including data entry, bank reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable
• Maintain and update general ledger and financial records
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports
• Support client accountants and finance managers with documentation and reporting
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP as applicable)
• Work with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or NetSuite
• Communicate regularly with international clients and respond to queries promptly

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting support roles
• Demonstrated ability to support clients in international markets (USA, UK, EU)
• Solid understanding of international bookkeeping/accounting requirements
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, etc.)
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage deadlines
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualifications preferred (e.g. ICB, AAT, NDip, BCom)
• Own laptop and stable connection
