Job summary

Curro Helderwyk in Brakpan is seeking a Foundation Phase Teacher for a full-time position to commence duties in January 2027. The role involves teaching and coordinating subjects per the Curro curriculum for the foundation phase, with a focus on knowledge transfer, skills development and fostering positive attitudes among learners.

The successful candidate will hold a BEd and/or PGCE in foundation phase, with an honours degree advantageous, and have a minimum of two years' foundation phase

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a foundation phase teacher
• Knowledge of the CAPS curriculum
• Facilitation, problem-solving and report-writing skills
• Excellent communication, organisational and planning skills

Responsibilities

• Teach and coordinate Foundation Phase subjects per Curro CAPS curriculum.
• Active teaching with knowledge transfer, skills development and fostering positive learner attitudes.
• Maintain learner progress records and contribute to reporting to parents and school management.
