About the Role

You will work closely with classroom teachers, parents, and external specialists to identify learning gaps, develop tailored intervention strategies, and implement them within a supportive classroom or small group setting. The aim is to ensure every child in the FoundationPhase receives the necessary support to build a strong academic foundation and develop confidence in their learning journey within an inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and assess learning difficulties or delays in Foundation Phase learners.


• Develop and implement individualized learning support plans and intervention strategies.


• Provide one-on-one or small group instruction to students requiring additional academic assistance.


• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers to integrate support strategies into daily lessons.


• Monitor student progress and adjust support plans as needed, maintaining detailed records.


• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and strategies for support at home.

Requirements

• A recognized teaching qualification, with a specialization or significant experience in Foundation Phase education.
