Job summary

Nova Pioneer is seeking Apprentice Teachers for its Midrand Primary Campus in 2027. You will work with a Resident Teacher to deliver enquiry-based learning and support student development across the foundation phase. This role targets those in 3rd/4th year of a BEd or PGCE program and expects provisional SACE registration.

You will join a network of innovative educators, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to a culture of growth, mentorship, and collaboration within Nova Pioneer.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and entering the 3rd or 4th year of study in 2027 or holding a Bachelor’s + PGCE.
• Provisional SACE registration is required.
• Experience or knowledge in English and Mathematics teaching or curriculum knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Resident teachers to deliver enquiry-based lessons using technology.
• Help set and communicate ambitious learning goals and provide student feedback.
• Collaborate with the resident teacher to assess student progress and adjust delivery accordingly.
• Attend weekly feedback meetings with resident teachers and deans to improve teaching practices.
• Participate in daily team meetings, professional development, and school-wide learning activities.
• Communicate with parents via email/phone and participate in parent conferences.
• Contribute to co-curricular programming for at least one activity per term.
• Participate in multiple teams/committees and assist with supervision during events.
