Job summary

Information Security Architects (ISA) in Johannesburg is seeking a Fortinet security engineer to join our on-site team in Woodmead, Sandton. You will lead security engineering, implement Fortinet technologies, and deliver technical security projects for our clients.

The role requires 5+ years with Fortinet, relevant IT and networking qualifications, Fortinet certifications, and strong communication. Cloud security knowledge is a plus, and you will provide escalated support and reporting.

• Tertiary/industry qualifications that include IT systems and networking related courses.

Job description

Information Security Architects (ISA) is a leading provider of IT Security Solutions and Managed Security Services® on the African continent. We are looking for an inspired Fortinet security engineer to join our highly motivated and energetic team of security specialists to provide professional security services (implementation, technical consulting and escalated support) to our customers.

The range of Fortinet security technologies used by our customers typically includes FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, FortiEMS/FortiClient, FortiAP, FortiSwitch, FortiWeb, FortiAuthenticator, FortiSASE and FortiSIEM.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Security Engineer at ISA in Woodmead, Sandton. The Security Engineer will be responsible for tasks related to network security, cybersecurity and information security on a day-to-day basis. Specific responsibilities would include:

• security engineering and the implementation of security technologies
• technical delivery of security projects
• technical documentation and reporting
• technical consulting
• escalated support to customers

Desired experience and qualifications:

• 5+ years experience with Fortinet technologies
• Tertiary/industry qualifications that include IT systems and networking related courses
• Fortinet technology certifications
• General IT and cybersecurity industry certifications
• Knowledge of cloud security technologies an advantage
