Job summary

Watchmaker Genomics seeks a Process Development Associate in Cape Town to design and transfer reagent manufacturing processes. You will work with R&D, Production, IT, and QA across global sites to ensure high-quality product delivery.

The role requires a BSc/BEng in Process/Chemical Engineering with 0–2+ years of relevant experience and strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills to support scalable manufacturing and process validation.

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng in Process/Chemical Engineering with 0–2+ years in process engineering or biotechnology.
• MSc in molecular biology/enzymology or related fields with 2+ years of industry experience in process development.

Responsibilities

• Translate product requirements into process specifications and scalable manufacturing processes.
• Develop, transfer and validate reagent manufacturing processes.
• Plan and execute project deliverables with clear communication of status.
• Document methods, batch records and SOPs for reproducibility.
• Support on-market products by investigating process-related issues through data analysis and experimentation.
