Placements24 is seeking a creative and skilled Formulation Scientist to join their remote R&D team. You will design, develop, and optimize pharmaceutical formulations across oral, injectable, or topical routes, applying advanced pharmaceutics and material science.

The role requires 3+ years of hands-on formulation experience, expertise with DSC, TGA, XRD, and particle size analysis, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in pharmaceutical formulation development.
• Strong knowledge of dosage form design and drug delivery systems.
• Experience with analytical techniques: DSC, TGA, XRD, particle size analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop stable formulations for oral, injectable, or topical delivery.
• Conduct pre-formulation studies on APIs and excipients.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop stable and efficacious pharmaceutical formulations for oral, injectable, or topical delivery systems.

• Optimize formulations using various techniques and technologies to achieve desired pharmacokinetic profiles and product performance.


• Perform compatibility studies, stability testing, and develop appropriate analytical methods for formulation evaluation.


• Troubleshoot formulation challenges and provide solutions to ensure successful product development.


• Collaborate with analytical development, manufacturing, and regulatory teams to ensure smooth technology transfer and product launch.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a related discipline.


• Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in pharmaceutical formulation development.
