Job summary

Cashbuild is seeking a Forklift Driver to operate and maintain the forklift safely and provide excellent customer service in-store. The role includes merchandising, price labelling, and housekeeping within the designated area.

Strong communication in English and local language, along with a valid forklift license, is required. Responsibilities include assisting customers, processing queries, loading goods carefully, and ensuring areas are stocked according to planograms while adhering to safety

Qualifications

Grade 12 or at least 1 year of related work experience.
Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language where the role is available.
Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
Must be physically fit to operate a forklift and hold a valid forklift license.
Must be able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

Acknowledge all Customers and determine their needs.
Advise Customers correctly on products.
Assist Customers with any product queries.
Assist with Customer complaints timely.
Add on sales, e.g. paint vs. paint brushes, thinners.
Ensure Customers purchases are loaded without delays.
Ensure purchases are loaded carefully to avoid damage.
Advise Customers on available services (delivery, plan reading, credit programmes, special orders).
Merchandise stock according to store layout and planograms.
