Job summary

Yee Hong Centre For Geriatric Care is preparing to open the Ng Siu Chan Care Centre and seeks a dedicated Food Services Worker to help shape the resident experience from day one. You will deliver meals, portion desserts, and maintain high standards of cleanliness in a fast-paced kitchen.

Qualifications include enrollment in a recognized Food Service Worker Program and a current Food Handler Safety Certificate; experience in food services is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a food services setting is preferred.
• Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift heavy industrial size food trays, pots and pans.
• Able to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English; Chinese is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Set up, deliver and serve meals according to client preferences, diet orders and portion sizes.
• Wrap, label and store food items.
• Clean and sanitize dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain production and dishwashing areas clean and organized.
• Follow health and safety protocols and temperature logs.
• Assist with inventory and stock rotation.
• Perform general cleaning duties and waste removal as assigned.
