Job summary

InvisionHR seeks a qualified Refrigeration Technician to perform repairs and maintenance on a range of commercial catering and food service equipment across client sites in South Africa. You will fault-diagnose, repair on-site, and support installations while adhering to safety standards and OEM guidelines.

You will respond to emergencies, document service activity, and report progress to the After-Sales Technical Manager.

Qualifications

• Qualified as Refrigeration Technician.
• Minimum of N3 in Electrical Engineering.
• 3-5 years workshop/repair experience.
• Knowledge/experience in food service and catering equipment.
• Good administration and basic computer skills (Emails, Word, Excel).
• Valid South African driver’s license.
• Commercial refrigeration/HVAC advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Listen to customer concerns and communicate all job-related topics efficiently.
• Attend to emergency repair calls on equipment.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff to provide effective repair solutions.
• Technical fault diagnosis on site, remotely, or at customer site.
• Provide on-site repairs, maintenance, installations and remote troubleshooting for catering equipment.
• Read and comprehend wiring diagrams and operation manuals.
• Carry out periodic inspection, cleaning and servicing of equipment.
• Document service calls and repairs, reporting to the Technical Manager.
