Placements24 seeks a meticulous Hygiene Officer for a Durban-based food production facility. You will implement and enforce hygiene protocols to prevent contamination and ensure food safety compliance across production, QA, and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Hygiene Officer in the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and other food safety standards.
• Proficiency in audits, staff training, and corrective actions.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain hygiene management systems and schedules.
• Conduct audits of production areas, equipment, and staff practices.
• Monitor cleaning chemicals usage and storage.
• Investigate hygiene-related non-conformances or incidents.
• Provide staff training on hygiene and food safety.
