Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Area Sales Representative to cover the George region and surrounding Western Cape. You will drive sales growth by building relationships with wholesalers, retailers, and independent stores, managing a sales pipeline, and achieving targets.

The role requires a matric certificate, 3+ years in FMCG sales, strong communication and negotiation skills, and a valid driver's license with access to a vehicle. Residency in George or willingness to relocate is expected.

Qualifications

• A matriculation certificate is essential; a tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration is advantageous.
• A minimum of 3 years of proven sales experience, preferably in FMCG or a related fast-paced industry.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle are essential for territory coverage.
• Residency in or willingness to relocate to the George, Western Cape area.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets within the George territory.
• Develop and execute effective sales strategies to drive product penetration and increase market share.
• Identify and prospect new business opportunities, expanding the client base across the Western Cape region.
• Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with existing clients, ensuring needs are met and satisfaction is maintained.
• Regularly visit clients to showcase new products, present promotions, and ensure optimal product visibility and placement.
• Gather market intelligence, including competitor activities and customer feedback, and report findings to management.
• Manage and maintain a clean and organized sales pipeline.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond promptly to client inquiries and concerns.
• Maintain accurate sales records and submit timely reports as required.
