Placements24 is seeking a meticulous and analytical Supply Chain Analyst to join our operations team in Sandton. You will analyze supply chain data, identify inefficiencies, and craft recommendations to improve inventory management, logistics, and distribution within the FMCG sector.

The role requires strong quantitative skills, familiarity with Excel/SQL, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that support strategic decisions and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in supply chain analysis, logistics or operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with SCM principles; ERP or planning software is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.

Responsibilities

• Analyze supply chain data including inventory levels, lead times, and transportation costs to identify trends and inefficiencies.
• Develop and maintain supply chain performance dashboards and reports.
• Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and operations teams to implement process improvements.
• Assist in demand forecasting and inventory planning to ensure optimal stock levels.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency gains throughout the supply chain.
• Support the implementation of new supply chain technologies and systems.
