The role requires hands-on leadership, strong organisational skills, and a track record in grocery retail. Matric is essential; a Retail Management qualification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years’ Store Management experience within FMCG / grocery retail.
• Experience within major retail grocery environments.
• Strong operational and floor management ability.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage large teams.
• Excellent stock control and commercial understanding.

Responsibilities

• Full store oversight across all departments and daily operations.
• Shift management and structured daily floor walks.
• Enforcing operational standards, policies, and procedures.
• Staff management, scheduling, discipline, and development.
• Buying, stock control, and inventory management.
• Liaising with suppliers and sales representatives.
• Driving turnover, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Managing shrinkage, wastage, and operational controls.
• Ensuring a world-class customer experience and high energy on the floor.
