Placements24 is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for its manufacturing facility in Bloemfontein, Free State. You will oversee all production activities, ensure safety, quality, and efficiency, and drive continuous improvement across the plant.

The role requires substantial FMCG manufacturing experience, strong leadership, and a proven track record in operations management, with a focus on cost control and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 8+ years of manufacturing operations experience with FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, quality systems and regulatory compliance.
• Proven leadership and capability to manage a production team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations to meet targets.
• Maintain quality control and food safety protocols (HACCP, ISO).
• Manage production schedules, resources, and downtime.
• Lead, develop, and motivate production staff for safety and excellence.
• Oversee inventory, maintenance, and budget management.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Sales and R&D for seamless operations.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
