Placements24 is seeking a proactive Logistics Coordinator for its FMCG operations in Paarl. You will manage transportation, warehousing, and inventory to ensure timely deliveries and high service levels.

Key duties include coordinating domestic and international shipments, negotiating with carriers, and maintaining documentation. The role requires strong planning, communication and problem-solving abilities in a growing Western Cape team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or similar in FMCG.
• Strong understanding of logistics, warehousing and inventory management.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of domestic and international transportation, including scheduling and tracking shipments.
• Oversee warehousing operations, ensuring efficient inventory management and order fulfillment.
• Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to negotiate rates and ensure timely service.
• Maintain accurate logistics documentation, including shipping manifests, customs forms, and invoices.
• Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize stock rotation and minimize holding costs.
• Resolve any logistical issues or delays that may arise, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
