Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Logistics Coordinator for our FMCG client in Rustenburg. You will oversee daily logistics, ensure timely product movement to distribution centers and retailers, and optimize shipping, warehousing and transport operations.

The role requires experience in logistics, strong negotiation and communication abilities, and proficiency with ERP/Logistics software and Excel. A relevant diploma or degree is preferred and a proactive, detail-oriented approach is

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of supply chain, warehousing and transportation.
• Proficiency in logistics software, ERP systems and Excel.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving and time management skills.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with carriers and stakeholders.
• Diploma or degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily logistics operations including shipping, receiving and warehousing.
• Plan transport schedules, select carriers and negotiate freight rates for timely deliveries.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock management with FIFO.
• Process shipping documentation accurately and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with suppliers, distribution centers and retailers to resolve delays promptly.
• Use logistics software to track shipments, manage orders and generate performance reports.

Our client, a leading force in the FMCG industry , is seeking a meticulous and proactive Logistics Coordinator to manage the efficient flow of goods within their operations in Rustenburg . You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely delivery of products to distribution centers and retail outlets, optimizing supply chain processes, and managing transportation logistics. This position is essential for maintaining the smooth operation of our client's business and ensuring customer satisfaction through reliable product availability in the North West province.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, warehousing, and transportation of FMCG products.
• Plan and manage transportation schedules, selecting appropriate carriers and negotiating freight rates to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely deliveries.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock management within warehouses, implementing efficient stock rotation practices (e.g., FIFO).
• Process shipping documentation accurately and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
• Liaise with suppliers, distribution centers, and retail partners to resolve any logistical issues or delays promptly.
• Utilize logistics software and systems to track shipments, manage orders, and generate performance reports for management.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar role, preferably in the FMCG sector .
• Strong understanding of supply chain management, warehousing, and transportation principles.
• Proficiency in using logistics software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
