Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Inventory Controller for a meticulous and organized role in Upington. You will manage stock levels, conduct regular stocktakes, and implement policies to minimize discrepancies and prevent stockouts while supporting production and distribution needs.

The role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in inventory management software, and the ability to contribute to a smooth warehouse operation that supports profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience as Inventory Controller, Stock Controller, or similar role.
• Experience in a warehouse environment, preferably FMCG.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical stocktakes to verify inventory accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system records and physical stock.
• Monitor stock levels and report on inventory turnover, identifying slow-moving or obsolete items.
• Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to ensure adequate stock levels to meet demand.
