Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join the Vereeniging operations team. The role focuses on maintaining accurate stock records, minimizing discrepancies, and ensuring efficient inventory management within a busy retail environment.

You will conduct regular stock takes, reconcile data, and implement procedures to improve inventory accuracy. Strong analytical skills and proficiency with inventory software plus MS Excel are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in inventory control or logistics.
• Strong understanding of inventory principles.
• Experience with stock counts and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy of stock levels.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by analyzing data and working with relevant departments.
• Maintain accurate records of all inventory movements, including receipts, transfers, and adjustments.
• Implement and refine inventory control procedures and best practices.
• Generate regular inventory reports for management, highlighting key metrics and trends.
• Liaise with warehouse and sales teams to ensure smooth stock flow and availability.
