Qualifications

• Experience as Inventory Controller, Stock Controller, or similar role.
• Experience in a warehouse environment, preferably FMCG.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical stocktakes to verify inventory accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system records and physical stock.
• Monitor stock levels and report on inventory turnover, identifying slow-moving or obsolete items.
• Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to ensure adequate stock levels to meet demand.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Controller to manage stock levels and ensure accuracy within their FMCG warehouse in Upington . You will be responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels, conducting regular stocktakes, and implementing procedures to minimize discrepancies and prevent stockouts or overstocking. This role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in inventory management systems, and an understanding of warehouse operations. You will play a critical part in ensuring the efficient flow of goods, supporting production and distribution needs, and contributing to the overall profitability of the business. This position is vital for maintaining supply chain integrity.

Key Responsibilities
