About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous Inventory Controller to join their operations in Port Elizabeth . You will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring efficient stock management, and implementing control procedures to minimize discrepancies and losses. This role is essential for the smooth functioning of the warehouse and the overall supply chain, requiring a keen eye for detail and a systematic approach to inventory management. You will contribute to optimizing stock levels and ensuring product availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inventory items, including quantities, locations, and values.
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts to verify records and identify discrepancies.
• Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures to prevent loss, damage, or obsolescence.
• Monitor stock levels, and report on stock movement, and advise on reorder points.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with purchasing and sales teams to ensure optimal stock levels and meet demand.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Inventory Controller , Stock Controller, or in a similar inventory management role.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles, warehousing, and logistics processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data analysis.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to conduct physical counts and reconcile discrepancies effectively.
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
