Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Area Sales Manager for the Mahikeng region in North West to drive sales performance, grow market share, and manage key client and distributor relationships across FMCG channels.

You will set targets, coach a sales team, analyze data, and implement promotional campaigns at retail level while delivering forecasts to senior management. A Bachelor's degree and 5 years FMCG sales leadership are required, with strong CRM and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years FMCG sales experience with leadership of sales teams.
• Proficient in CRM software and sales reporting tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• In-depth knowledge of the North West retail landscape.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed sales targets for FMCG products in the assigned area.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of sales representatives to maximize performance and productivity.
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key customers, distributors, and stakeholders in Mahikeng.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities and challenges.
• Analyze sales data and performance metrics to provide regular reports and forecasts to senior management.
• Ensure effective implementation of promotional campaigns and merchandising strategies at the retail level.
