Job summary

Newrest in Durban, South Africa, seeks an Operations Supervisor to coordinate airline orders and flight requirements, ensuring timely, accurate, and hygienic catering delivery aligned with customer specifications.

You will supervise loading teams, manage flight documentation, liaise with dispatch, and ensure on-time departure of catering for all flights, even under pressure. A minimum of 2 years in a similar role, Matric, and a Business Administration certificate are preferred.

Qualifications

Job description

Coordinate airline orders and flight requirements, ensuring timely, accurate, and hygienic delivery in line with customer specifications. Supervise loading teams, manage documentation and equipment, minimise wastage, and maintain excellent customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES: You will be responsible for:

• Check the assigned order according to latest passenger figures in all relevant departments
• Conduct all necessary checks to determine missing items
• Complete the assigned order in accordance with operational times in place
• Co-ordinate loading teams on loading bay, on board the aircraft and on the apron
• Handover checked and loaded order to relevant cabin crew
• Liaise with dispatch department with regards to last minute changes and actual arrival and departure times of aircrafts
• Advise cabin crew on equipment, food, packing and loading instructions, product and service changes
• Complete all flight paperwork in good time as scheduled. Labels must be done as per schedule for each airline.
• Ensure successful execution of last minute orders from airline representatives
• Complete and submit all flight documentation including flight logs and CCP records(Dispatch temperatures)
• Ensure on time and accurate departure of catering to all flights.
