Job summary

Placements24 in Gauteng is seeking an experienced Information Security Auditor to join our compliance team in Tembisa. You will assess the design and operating effectiveness of security controls and verify adherence to POPIA, GDPR where applicable, PCI DSS, and other standards.

Responsibilities include planning and conducting audits across IT systems, documenting findings, and advising on corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of information security auditing or compliance experience.
• Knowledge of IT audit frameworks (COBIT, ITIL) and security standards (ISO 27001, NIST).
• Familiarity with POPIA and GDPR regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and document information security audits across IT systems and business processes.
• Assess design and operation of security controls against policies and standards.
• Evaluate compliance with POPIA, GDPR, PCI DSS, and related regulations.
• Identify risks and control gaps; document findings and remediation recommendations.
• Develop audit reports and present findings to management and stakeholders.
