Nazareth House Port Elizabeth is seeking a motivated Variable Time Carer to join our care team. You will contribute to delivering high-quality, resident-centered care and help ensure the smooth operation of the unit through personal support and essential daily tasks.

The role involves direct support to residents under guidance of senior staff, assisting in daily care, companionship, accurate record-keeping, and coordinating care activities to support a safe and welcoming environment for

Qualifications

Directly support residents under guidance of senior staff.
Coordinate daily care and household duties within the unit.
Provide resident assistance, personal care, companionship, and accurate record-keeping.

Responsabilités

Participate in planning and execution of resident support plans and ensure all residents receive optimal care.
Provide basic holistic care and education to residents, according to individual resident needs, with due consideration of family needs.
Effectively utilize medical equipment and supplies.
Optimally support the Registered / Enrolled Nurse in delivering a safe and effective quality care service to the residents.
Ensuring that the residents' environment is optimal for quality care.
Report any reaction to any medication to the sister on duty, e.g. skin rashes, swelling, and nausea.
Effectively carry out procedures once found competent in such procedures.
Perform Administrative and general duties.
