Job summary

Reinhardt Transport invites applications for a Workshop Foreman at Amalgamated Bulk, Komatipoort. You will lead the fleet maintenance program, supervise repairs and breakdowns, and ensure safe, efficient workshop operations.

The role requires 5+ years in transport, experience on commercial trucks and trailers, and fluency in English and Afrikaans. Diesel mechanic certification is advantageous; valid licence and own transport preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in the transport industry.
• Experience on commercial trucks and trailers.
• Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate is beneficial.
• Strong technical leadership to guide technicians.
• Computer literate and physically fit.
• Valid driver’s license and own transport to work.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the fleet maintenance program in line with technical standards.
• Oversee all maintenance, services, repairs, tasks, and breakdowns performed.
• Perform quality control and improve quality of work on a continuous basis.
• Manage daily workflow, productivity, and efficiency of employees to ensure optimal fleet uptime.
• Offer technical advice to employees and ensure information is current.
• Ensure administrative compliance, Job cards, timekeeping, etc.
• Identify trends and communicate product-related matters in a timely manner.
• Be hands-on and work on vehicles when needed.
• Ensure safe use of materials, equipment and labour resources.
• Ensure workshop and equipment are maintained in a safe and clean manner.
• Adhere to health and safety rules (PPE, housekeeping).
• Report discrepancies (OHS/SHE) and other policy concerns.
• May perform other duties as required by Management.
• Place of work: Amalgamated Bulk, Komatipoort.
