Placements24 is seeking a hands-on Fleet Supervisor to oversee field operations and vehicle maintenance in the Polokwane region. The role balances on-site supervision with administrative duties in a hybrid capacity to support service delivery across Limpopo.

You will supervise drivers, coordinate maintenance, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with road safety regulations. Strong leadership and fleet software proficiency are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in fleet supervision or a related transportation role.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair procedures, and fleet management best practices.
• Strong understanding of South African road safety regulations and commercial vehicle requirements.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage drivers effectively.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of drivers, ensuring adherence to schedules, routes, and safe driving practices.
• Coordinate routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections for the company fleet.
• Monitor vehicle performance, fuel consumption, and driver behavior, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure all fleet vehicles are operated in compliance with traffic laws and company safety policies.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, mileage, and operational expenses.
• Respond to and manage roadside incidents or emergencies involving company vehicles.
