Job summary

Reinhardt Transport Group is hiring a Fleet Manager to oversee all aspects of fleet operations, wages, tracking, route planning and scheduling for a growing South African logistics operation.

You will monitor driver and vehicle performance, coordinate driver schedules, manage maintenance including COF inspections, ensure compliance with policies, and generate monthly fleet performance reports for management. Willingness to work long hours, weekends and public holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Matric and 2–3 years of fleet management experience or related field.
• Knowledge of fleet management and tracking technologies is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Sober habits and reliability.
• Willing to work long hours, public holidays and weekends.
• Computer literate with Excel experience (compulsory).
• Own transport.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of fleet management including wages, tracking, fuel consumption, route planning and scheduling.
• Monitor driver and vehicle performance and efficiency; identify productivity improvements.
• Coordinate driver schedules, routes and assignments; ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Liaise with drivers; provide updates and resolve issues; track orders and deliveries.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance; schedule COF inspections and services; arrange repairs.
• Generate reports on fleet performance, efficiency and productivity for management.
